It was a dreary day out, a bitterly cold evening for so late into leaf bare. Oakfrost had taken to the land lately, to clear his mind. It was unlike him to wander away from the shore, from the chilly waters. The ebbing and flowing tide, ever changing but consistent, familiar. Change. It was part of life. The seasons changed. Leaves budded, grew into thick, shady, green cover, changed their colors, before they withered, dried, and fell to the ground and left trees bare. The trees were still bare now. Like the camp. The new camp. A new home, so familiar, yet so different.

It wasn’t quite dusk yet, though the sun was drifting down towards the horizon and the shadows around town were growing longer by the minute. The sky itself was mottled with blues, oranges, and yellows, while the soft clouds that dotted the sky were tinged purple and pink where the sun hit them. Much different from how the sun rose in the morning; a reddish-orange sky that framed a bright sun, or so she’d heard. A breeze shook the boughs of the towering trees that made up the Hollow Forest.
